Patricia Pérez Ruano

Ph.D. Student Psychological Development, apprenticeship, and Health at Universidade Da Coruña (Spain)

She was born in Lugo where she finished her piano conservatory studies. She also graduated in Musicology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and completed one Erasmus Year at the University of Southampton (United Kingdom).

She is currently a Music Teacher in a Catholic High School and her field of research for her Ph.D. is focused on how Music helps teenagers to develop their Emotional Intelligence.

Her field of study is focused on emotional intelligence and she took different courses such as The Science of Well-Being (University of Yale), Managing Emotions in Times of Uncertainty and Stress (Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence), and the Certification Level 1 EI Foundations and Level 2 EI Professional taught by John Pelliteri by the ISEI.

She receive the Woman Explorer Award from Santander Universidades for Minuetty, a hospital humanization program through live integrative music, stimulating the socio-emotional situation of hospitalized patients and their families.
